Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium
Mote Marine Laboratory is a Sarasota-based marine research and conservation institution, also boasting a public Aquarium. The Laboratory, founded by Dr. Eugenie Clark in 1955 in Placida, FL, was originally known as Cape Haze Marine Laboratory until 1967, when it was renamed after its major benefactor, William R. Mote. The Lab originally focused on Dr. Clark’s work with sharks and other fish, but has since expanded to research a huge variety of marine science topics.
I myself am a huge supporter for any help, research, and education on our environment and community.
